Party boat hire Sydney

Party boat hire in Sydney starts with a playlist and a swim platform, with the Bridge sliding past the rail. Five boats take parties of 25 to 150, two of them our own, so the host gets to drift through the afternoon as a guest. Tell us the night and roughly how many, and we’ll match the boat.

Built for a crowd

A party yacht with the harbour for a dance floor

Party boat hire in Sydney with Lifestyle Charters means a private boat and a crew for the night. Felix and Enigma are our own boats. State of the Art, Salt and Karisma 2 are partner vessels bookable via Lifestyle Charters, which means you book them through the same two people. All five have a sound system and a place to swim from, plus somewhere dry when the weather turns.

Hosts ask us for party yacht hire in Sydney or a party cruise hire, and they mean the same thing: friends, music and the water until the lights come on. For the planning side, read our host’s guide to planning the night.

The party boats

Five party boats, from 25 guests to 150

Each of the five hosts a crowd in its own way. Start with the headcount, then the one thing your party can’t do without, because that usually decides it: a floating pool or a DJ.

Vessel by vessel

owned vessel

Enigma

Up to 41 guests

Our own Enigma suits a party that wants the water as much as the music. The afternoon drifts between the floating pool and the bow sun bed. Full BYO and a well stocked bar.

Felix

Up to 25 guests

Felix, our 58-foot Salthouse sports cruiser, runs open plan from saloon to cockpit, where an awning rolls out on hot days. Then someone finds the aqua lily pad. Full BYO and a well stocked bar.

Bookable via Lifestyle Charters
partner vessel

State of the Art

Up to 40 guests

State of the Art spreads the party over three decks, so the dancing stays aft and the sunset belongs to the sky lounge. There’s a bar on board with BYO welcome, and the iLAND mat for the swim.

Six people relaxing with drinks on the sunpad and aft deck of the motor yacht Salt
Bookable via Lifestyle Charters
partner vessel

Salt

Up to 49 guests

Salt is an 84-foot Monte Fino with a large open saloon and bar. Its outer deck can be sheltered when the weather turns. Water toys wait off the swim platform, and BYO is welcome.

Karisma 2

Up to 150 guests

Karisma 2 is the biggest boat here, with up to 150 guests across three large entertaining areas. Two bars keep the toast going, and the music runs through the in-house system or your own DJ.

A party cruise for every kind of night

Boat parties in Sydney take a few shapes. There’s the thirtieth where everyone is in the water by four, the hens afternoon that ends with champagne as the lights come on, and the end-of-year night with the Bridge sliding overhead. A party cruise hire in Sydney fits each of them, and the boat changes with the headcount. When the guest list outgrows the boats here, superyacht hire in Sydney has the bigger decks. Tell us the occasion, then leave the matching to us.

Why book through us

The host gets to be a guest

Lifestyle Charters is a family business owned and run by Sam and Dave, lifelong Sydney locals. They’ve hosted enough birthdays on this water to know which bay is calm for a swim at four, and when to turn for the Bridge so the lights come on overhead. In practice those are the calls you’d otherwise be making yourself, with a drink going warm in your hand.

Book Felix or Enigma and you’re on their own boat with their own crew. Book one of the three partner vessels and they arrange it for you, and stay on the phone through to the wharf. Either way you spend the night with your guests instead of running it.

On the night

Party boat hire Sydney, from the wharf to the last song

Once the boat is booked, we agree the wharf and start time with you, and you pass them on. On the day the drinks go into the fridges and the playlist onto the speakers, and the first song plays as the lines come in. After that the city opens up past the stern and a yacht party on the harbour finds its own pace: a swim in a quiet bay, a toast under the Bridge, the lights coming on as you turn for home.

Questions

Questions about party boat hire in Sydney

What hosts ask us before they book. Anything else goes in the quote form.

How many people can a party boat take?

The range runs from a dinner party to a wedding reception, because the five boats go from 25 guests to 150. Felix is the smallest at up to 25 and Karisma 2 the biggest at up to 150 for a cocktail-style party. In between, Enigma takes up to 41, State of the Art up to 40 and Salt up to 49.

Mostly yes to both. Felix and Enigma both run full BYO charters, and both carry a well stocked bar, so the champagne goes in the fridge and the bar covers the rest. State of the Art and Salt each have a bar on board with BYO welcome, while Karisma 2 pours from two bars.

The first song as the lines come in sets the night, so bring the playlist. Every boat has a sound system to plug it into, and Felix and Enigma run multi-zoned Bluetooth systems that reach the flybridge as well as the saloon. For a DJ, Karisma 2 is the one, with an in-house music system or DJ compatibility.

Yes. The jump off the platform at four o’clock is the moment most parties remember. Enigma carries a floating pool as well as an aqua lily pad and paddleboards, Felix the lily pad and paddleboards, and State of the Art an oversized floating mat called the iLAND. Salt keeps water toys off its swim platform too, and swimming is accessible from Karisma 2.

Four hours holds a swim stop and a sunset, with the run back under the Bridge as the lights come on, which is why it’s the usual minimum booking. Enigma will start at three hours, and Salt’s minimum is listed at up to four. Check the Bureau of Meteorology’s Sydney forecast in the week before, then decide if the party belongs in the afternoon or the evening.

Yes, all three. We’ve written a guide to hens party boat charters and a hosted guide to a bucks party cruise in Sydney, so start with those. For a birthday, pick the boat by headcount.

Plan the party

Send the date and the headcount

The date and the headcount narrow five boats to one or two, so start with those and tell us whether the night leans swim stop or dance floor. We’ll reply with the boats that suit and the hours we’d suggest, or ring Sam and Dave on 0402 557 453 to talk it over first. After you confirm, the balance is invoiced 21 days before the charter and is payable within seven days.
