Birthday yacht hire Sydney
Birthday yacht hire in Sydney puts the guest of honour on a private deck with the city turning gold behind the cake. Two of our own boats and three partner vessels sail birthdays from a table of eight to the whole extended family. Tell us who the day is for, and we’ll find the boat that fits.
Birthday yacht hire in Sydney, planned around one person
Birthday yacht hire in Sydney through Lifestyle Charters gives one person a private boat and a crew, and the harbour for an afternoon or an evening. Felix and Enigma are owned and crewed by us, so the smaller birthdays sail with our own people. For a barbecue afternoon or a milestone with the wider family, we book one of three partner vessels for you instead.
Sam and Dave plan it with the organiser, so the surprise holds until the boat is alongside. They know which bay keeps the toast out of the wind and where to be as the sun drops behind the Bridge. The planning guide covers the order of a birthday boat hire in Sydney, and the second guide has ideas for every age.

Quick quote
Five boats, one for every guest list
On a birthday party boat hire in Sydney, the guest list picks the boat first. Then the birthday person does, because a swimmer wants the lily pad and a host wants the long table.

Felix
On Felix the awning rolls out over the cockpit and the afternoon slows down, someone already out on the lily pad. Our 58-foot Salthouse sports cruiser runs full BYO charters and carries a well stocked bar.

Enigma
The sun bed on Enigma’s bow is where the birthday person ends up, champagne in hand, while the rest drift between the three entertaining areas. At the swim stop our own Enigma puts out a floating pool and two paddleboards.

Mon Reve
Guests spread out on Mon Reve’s trampoline nets as the catamaran slides under the Bridge, cushions out, feet over the water. The 63-foot Lagoon is bookable via Lifestyle Charters, with two dining tables for the long lunch.

Seas the Day
On Seas the Day the gas BBQ goes on early and the kids queue for the swim ladder. Drinks come out of the eskys on board, because it runs BYO drinks only. It is bookable via Lifestyle Charters.

Shadow
On Shadow the speeches happen at the long alfresco table on the lower deck, and the shaded flybridge above fills with lounges and a bar on board. Shadow is bookable via Lifestyle Charters for the birthday where everyone comes.
Milestone birthdays, beautifully celebrated
A relaxed afternoon with close friends or an elegant evening with the whole family. The best birthday charter reflects the person you’re celebrating. Picture a long lunch on deck, a swim in a sheltered bay or music and drinks as the city lights come on.
Tell us the occasion, your guest numbers and how you’d like to celebrate. We’ll help you choose the boat and timing to suit.

Why book through us
Two Sydney locals who plan the day with you
Lifestyle Charters is a family business owned and run by Sam and Dave, lifelong Sydney locals. A birthday has moments that land in order: the surprise first, then the speech, then the swim before the cake. They run that order with the organiser and shape the route to it, so the toast lands with the Opera House behind the birthday person rather than a ferry.
Felix and Enigma are their own boats and crew. For the partner vessels, Sam and Dave take the enquiry and plan the day with you, then talk to the vessel on your behalf. The luxury is personal rather than pretentious.
This was the best birthday I have ever had and that was due in a major way to the experience with your company and The Felix.
A huge thank you to Sam and Dave for such a fantastic experience, we will absolutely be booking again and recommending Lifestyle Charters to everyone!
We are already talking about another charter for even longer and to watch the sunset ❤️
Crew were fantastic with all their efforts in getting the wheelchair bound birthday boy on board and comfortable.
Best oysters he’s tasted he said.
Overall a great evening aboard Felix…thank you for the memories.
As the dust has now settled and I am finding time to get back to business as usual after Donal's Birthday Bash aboard your beautiful boat Enigma, I keep thinking just how wonderful the whole experience was and how lucky we were to have worked with you.
Not only was the boat just perfect for our event, we found yourself and your crew so easy and lovely to work with.
You took the time to answer my plethora of questions about the kitchen/self catering and gave us great practical advice for the best outcomes. Basically - setting us up for success!
We really appreciate your efforts and those of your lovely crew, Sam, Bella and Cameron.
So many guests commented the same - talking no end about the party, the food, drinks, crew, boat, beautiful harbour & luckily stunning weather.
It was a smashing day!
Thank you again for everything.
How a birthday charter unfolds
The guests gather on the wharf while the boat comes alongside, and the birthday person is the last to know. Then you cast off and the harbour opens up, under the Bridge and past the Opera House to a quiet bay for the swim stop. The cake comes out around the golden hour. After that the run home is the quietest part of the day, the skyline lit, salt in everyone’s hair.
Questions about birthday yacht hire in Sydney
The questions organisers ask when they look into yacht rentals for birthdays. Ask us anything that isn’t covered below.
Which boat suits 20, 40 or 90 guests?
Twenty guests on Felix means everyone at one table under the awning, with room for 25 if the cousins turn up. Forty fills Enigma’s three entertaining areas comfortably, because it takes up to 41. Ninety is Shadow, with the whole crowd spread over the flybridge and the lower-deck table. In between, Mon Reve and Seas the Day each sail with up to 30.
Can we bring our own food, cake and drinks?
Toasting with your own bottle is part of the day here. Felix and Enigma both run full BYO charters, and both carry a well stocked bar. Mon Reve guests bring their own chef or catering, and their own drinks, or preorder them. Seas the Day is BYO drinks only with a gas BBQ on board, while Shadow has a full galley with catering options and a bar on board, so ask about the cake when you enquire.
Can the guests swim?
The jump off the back is the moment the photos capture. Felix and Enigma put out an aqua lily pad and paddleboards from the swim platform, and Enigma adds a floating pool. Mon Reve hires out water toys, Seas the Day has a swim ladder and Shadow a swim platform with water activities.
Afternoon or evening?
An afternoon is the swimming birthday, with bright water and lunch on deck against a blue sky. An evening is the romantic one, the light softening over the Bridge and the skyline coming on as you drift back. Once the date is near, the Bureau of Meteorology’s Sydney forecast will tell you which kind of light to expect.
How long does a birthday charter run?
Three or four hours holds a swim and a long lunch, with the speeches in between and the sunset to come home on. Felix and Mon Reve book from four hours, and Enigma and Seas the Day from three. Ask us for Shadow’s minimum.
Our milestone has outgrown these boats. What's bigger?
When the guest list outgrows the boats here, the partner superyachts take over: Oneworld hosts up to 100 guests and Mischief up to 180. Both are bookable via Lifestyle Charters, and our superyacht hire Sydney page walks through them.
Tell us who the birthday is for
Send us the date and the number of guests, tell us whose birthday it is, and we’ll come back with the boats that suit and a quote for each. If you’d rather talk, call Sam and Dave on 0402 557 453. Once you’ve chosen, the balance is invoiced 21 days before the charter and is payable within seven days, so the last week is yours.
