Luxury private charters

Luxury yacht hire Sydney

A flybridge warm in the late sun, a cabin to change in before dinner and, on one yacht, a hot tub as the Bridge goes copper behind you. Luxury yacht hire on Sydney Harbour for 25 to 45 guests: Enigma, our own yacht, and four partner yachts bookable via Lifestyle Charters. Sam and Dave plan the day with you from the first call.

The luxury yachts

A private yacht, and the afternoon to yourselves

Luxury yacht hire in Sydney, through Lifestyle Charters, is an afternoon where the first glass is poured on the flybridge and the city does the rest. The yachts at this end of the fleet carry cabins below and a crew on board, so a couple’s anniversary and a host’s client lunch both fit. Enigma is ours, owned and crewed by us. The other four are partner yachts bookable via Lifestyle Charters: Privacy and Sirenuse alongside Quantum and Mohasuwei.

Lifestyle Charters is a family business owned and run by Sam and Dave, lifelong Sydney locals. In practice that means the people who quote your day are the people who answer the phone the week before it. That detail is most of what sets a premium harbour experience apart. When the guest list outgrows the yachts here, superyacht hire in Sydney is the next page along.

Why book through us

Exceptional yachts. Personally arranged.

Sam and Dave have hosted on this harbour for years, so a luxury yacht charter in Sydney with them carries that history with it. They know which bay sits out of the wind when the afternoon breeze arrives, and where to anchor so the swimmers have the Opera House behind them. By then the run home is timed for the lights coming on at the Quay. Enigma is their own yacht, and the other four are partner yachts bookable via Lifestyle Charters. Either way, the two of them take the brief and choose the yacht with you, and they remain the people you speak to in the final week. Personal, not pretentious, is the idea.
On the water

What to expect from luxury yacht hire in Sydney

Once the charter is confirmed, we agree the wharf and the boarding time with you. After that you step aboard and the crew cast off, and the only decision left is flybridge or saloon. The day then runs to your plan: a long lunch at anchor, then a slow lap past the Opera House sails on the way home, with a swim wherever the water looks right.

Questions

Luxury yacht hire in Sydney: your questions

Six things people ask about the yachts at this end of the fleet. For how we match a yacht to an occasion, read our fleet comparison, and ask anything else when you enquire.

What makes a yacht on this page a luxury yacht?

It is the feeling of having a floor to yourselves: a cabin to change in before the toast and a flybridge for the sunset, with a crew who look after the rest. In practice the features back it up. Ensuites are listed on Enigma and Quantum, and Sirenuse has a hot tub. Quantum adds a gyroscopic stabiliser and Mohasuwei opens into a beach club.

Quantum seats twelve for dinner and carries up to 45 for a day charter, the biggest party on this page. Our own Enigma follows at 41, which is a full house on the flybridge and the swim platform at once. Privacy and Sirenuse each host up to 36, and so does Mohasuwei, so tell us if your list is close to a limit.

Yes on four of the five, which turns the sunset into the start of the evening rather than the end of it. Enigma sleeps six guests. Sirenuse and Quantum sleep eight each, and so does Mohasuwei. Privacy’s listing gives no overnight figure, so ask us before you plan on it.

The glass in your hand depends on the yacht. On Enigma you can bring your own, because she runs full BYO charters and carries a well stocked bar as well. Privacy has a bar on board and BYO welcome, and Mohasuwei has a bar on board. Sirenuse offers catering and beverage options, while Quantum’s features do not cover drinks, so for those two ask when you enquire.

Three hours holds a long lunch at anchor and the run home under the Bridge, and a fourth adds the swim stop and the sunset. Quantum and Mohasuwei start at four hours, while our own Enigma and Privacy start at three to four. Sirenuse’s minimum is not listed, so ask when you enquire.

The party moves inside and the view comes with it, because every one of these yachts has an indoor space with the harbour in the windows. Enigma is fully air conditioned and Privacy’s main saloon is open plan. Quantum and Mohasuwei have large saloons, and Sirenuse has an indoor dining area. Keep an eye on the Bureau of Meteorology’s Sydney forecast as the day approaches, and call us if it worries you.
