For three winter weeks each year, Sydney Harbour changes after dark. The Opera House sails become a moving canvas, the bridge glows, and colour spills across the water from every point on the foreshore.
A private charter gives you the festival on your own terms. Many of the projections and light sequences face the harbour, so from the deck you’ll see the show the way it was designed to be seen, without a crowd in sight. And winter on the water is milder than you’d expect: light winds, calm evenings and warm, comfortable spaces on board.

Enigma
A 65-foot flybridge cruiser with a spacious sundeck, generous lounge areas and room to host a larger group in comfort.
$2,850 for a two-hour BYO cruise for up to 12 guests, + $25 per guest thereafter up to 41 guests.
Feeling a little extra? Add a two-hour beverage package for $45pp and a cheese and charcuterie grazing board for $25pp. Minimum 10 pax.
Add extra charter hours for $1,000 per hour + $20pp per hour for extra beverage package hours.
Felix
A sleek 58-foot Riviera designed for relaxed entertaining, with generous indoor and outdoor spaces for dining, drinks and taking in the harbour.
$2,400 for a two-hour BYO cruise for up to 12 guests, + $25 per guest thereafter up to 25 guests.

Planning your Vivid cruise
How long is a Vivid cruise?
Private Vivid charters run for two hours as standard, which is enough time to board, settle in and see the harbour’s installations at an easy pace.
If you’d like a longer evening, extra charter hours can be added for $1,000 per hour, plus $20pp per hour to extend a beverage package.
How much is a Vivid Sydney cruise?
On our own yachts, private Vivid charters start from $2,400 for a two-hour BYO cruise for up to 12 guests on Felix, and from $2,850 on Enigma.

Where do Vivid cruises leave from?
There are a number of wharves available around Sydney Harbour. Some vessels have location restrictions, so we will help arrange the most suitable pick-up and drop-off points for your group.
Are private Vivid Sydney cruises available?
Yes. Every charter we arrange is private: the yacht is yours for the evening, whether that’s an intimate night on Felix or a larger gathering on Enigma or one of our partner vessels.

Are there ticketed Vivid Sydney cruises?
There are plenty of ticketed Vivid cruises on the harbour each year. We don’t operate in that space, but we’re happy to point you towards some of the events we know of. Just ask.
What is the best night to see Vivid from the water?
Opening night is our pick. The first switch-on has an energy all of its own, and in recent years the festival has opened with fireworks over the harbour.
That said, every night of Vivid has its own rhythm, and midweek evenings are noticeably quieter on the water.
What is the dress code for a Vivid cruise?
Many charter boats have a barefoot or flat-shoe policy. Enigma and Felix are shoe friendly, and if footwear matters for your group we can suggest other shoe-friendly options.
Dress warm: layers over formality is the local rule for a winter night on the water.
